RÛR was created by its sole member C.L. in mid to late 2017.
The music of RÛR is massive, powerful,
vast and panoramic Black Metal that sounds
like an alloy of Nasheim, Paysage d’Hiver, Ethereal Shroud, Mare Cognitum and Caladan
Brood.
Lyric inspiration comes mainly from escapism and dreams of other worlds - dark, vast and wild.

The cover painting (Udslidt by H A Brendekilde, if anyone is interested) and the music is in perfect alignment. So much sorrow, so much despair... Right from the start I can feel my soul wither away with each riff. Still, towards the end of the record I can catch little glimpses of hope in the melodies. A beautiful journey in the bleak reality of existence.

The first time I heard this album I was on a bike ride on a wooded path while on vacation. I was alone with just the trees and the music. It's a cherished memory and one that I will always associate with the beautiful piano notes reverberating through the first track of this album. This is one of the best offerings from Saor to date.
